ABOUT GENESUNVEILED

Raw DNA analysis built around clarity, evidence, and privacy

Founded in Norway in 2025, GenesUnveiled helps people explore their consumer raw DNA files through clear, structured, and research-based genetic reports.

Our analysis runs locally in your browser by default. This means your raw DNA file and per-variant results do not need to be uploaded to or stored on GenesUnveiled servers during normal use.

Why we built GenesUnveiled

Downloading a raw DNA file is relatively simple. Understanding the hundreds of thousands of genetic markers inside it is not.

Individual variants can be difficult to interpret, easy to take out of context, and sometimes supported by very different levels of evidence. GenesUnveiled was created to turn selected findings into organized reports that explain what was identified, why it may matter, and where important limitations remain.

Our goal is not to predict your future with certainty. It is to make genetic information easier to explore responsibly.

What GenesUnveiled helps you explore

GenesUnveiled organizes relevant findings from your raw DNA file across several report categories, including: Health risks, high-impact variants, gene activity, traits, nutrition and metabolism, pharmacogenetics, GeneExplorer insights, and much more.

Each category uses an approach suited to the type of genetic result. Some reports evaluate several variants together, while others explain a specific SNP or functional variant in greater detail.

Instead of presenting thousands of disconnected markers, we aim to provide a clearer structure for understanding the findings available in your file.

How we approach genetic interpretation

We prioritize relevant human research and assess findings in context. Depending on the report, this may include study quality, replication, effect size, population coverage, biological plausibility, and the limitations of the available evidence.

Stronger conclusions require stronger evidence.

Clear, without pretending genetics is simple

Genes, biological pathways, and genetic associations can be complicated. We explain them in accessible language while preserving the distinctions and limitations that matter.

The goal is clarity—not oversimplification.

Context instead of alarm

A genetic association is not automatically a diagnosis, and carrying a particular allele does not guarantee an outcome.

Our reports aim to distinguish between concepts such as genetic tendency, relative risk, carrier status, functional effects, and typical population variation.

Designed to evolve with the research

Genetic research continues to develop. We review and update reports as relevant evidence changes, and we add new reports when they meet our standards.

Privacy by design

Raw DNA data is highly sensitive. GenesUnveiled is designed to minimize how much of that information must be centrally collected in the first place.

During normal analysis, your raw DNA file is read and processed locally on your device through your browser. Your raw DNA file and per-variant results are not sent to or stored on GenesUnveiled servers at any point.

We separately process the ordinary information required to operate the service, such as account, billing, support, website-security, and limited usage information. These practices are explained in our Privacy & Security Policy.

What your results can—and cannot—tell you

GenesUnveiled provides educational and informational genetic interpretations.

Your reports can help you:

  • Explore genetic associations found in your raw DNA file.

  • Understand biological pathways connected to selected variants.

  • Identify topics you may want to research further.

  • Prepare more informed questions for a qualified healthcare professional.

GenesUnveiled cannot:

  • Diagnose a medical condition.

  • Determine your current health status.

  • Predict with certainty whether an outcome will occur.

  • Replace clinical genetic testing or professional medical care.

Results also depend on the markers included in your original DNA file. Consumer genotyping files do not examine every possible genetic variant, and coverage varies between testing providers and chip versions. When required markers are unavailable, some reports may not be generated.

Built in Norway for DNA users worldwide

GenesUnveiled was founded in Norway in 2025 and supports raw DNA files from major consumer testing providers, including 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, LivingDNA, TellmeGen, and other supported formats.

You can test your file compatibility for free before purchasing access. Your file remains on your device during analysis.

Start with the DNA file you already have

Your raw DNA file may contain substantially more information than the original testing provider displays.

GenesUnveiled helps you explore that information through a privacy-first platform built around research, responsible interpretation, and clear reporting.
