What is GenesUnveiled?GenesUnveiled is a personalized DNA analysis platform that transforms your raw genetic data into 140+ science-based health and wellness insights. We help you explore your genetic predisposition for conditions like cancer and heart disease, understand key SNP mutations—all without ever uploading your DNA to external servers. Learn more about how we calculate such risk scores in the "Accuracy and PRS" column.
-
What makes GenesUnveiled different?Privacy-first: Your DNA never leaves your device. Scientifically rigorous: We base all reports exclusively on genome-wide significant variants supported by peer-reviewed research or replication in multiple independent studies. User-friendly: Designed for everyday users—not just scientists. Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS): Our condition reports use aggregated risk from multiple variants, not just one-off SNPs.
-
Who is behind GenesUnveiled?GenesUnveiled was founded by two Norwegian brothers in 2024, driven by a shared passion for making advanced genetic science understandable, secure, and accessible to everyone.
-
Will there be future versions of GenesUnveiled beyond V1?As we continue to improve GenesUnveiled, we plan to launch V2 with new features and a completely overhauled user interface. While work on V2 is underway, V1 will continue to receive new reports and updates. We are currently aiming for V2 to launch in late 2026.

How do I analyze my DNA?To get your DNA file analyzed, sign up and head to your personal dashboard.
-
How reliable are your genetic insights? Our insights are based on large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS), ensuring high reliability. These reports are informational, not diagnostic. Note that some reports are based on European and American cohorts, which may affect accuracy for individuals with different ancestries.
-
What is a polygenic risk score (PRS)?A polygenic risk score combines the effects of many genetic variants to estimate your overall genetic predisposition to a specific trait or condition. Instead of relying on a single SNP, PRS uses multiple SNPs—each with a small effect size—to provide a more robust prediction.
-
What kinds of reports do you offer? We currently offer: 65+ Health Risk Reports (e.g. Cancer, Autoimmune, Heart Disease) 20+ SNP Mutation Risk Reports (e.g. BRCA, MTHFR) 20+ Nutrition Reports (e.g. Vitamin D, Omega-3, Iron) 10+ Gene Activity Reports (e.g. COMT, BDNF) 40+ GeneExplorer Reports with curated gene functions
-
Are you adding more reports?Yes. We continuously update the platform with new reports, improved algorithms, and fresh insights—based on the latest peer-reviewed research.
-
Why can’t I see any reports after uploading?Check that your DNA file is supported. Make sure you’ve allowed the site to process files in your browser. Try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended). If your DNA file is missing certain SNPs used to calculate a risk score, we may withhold the result to avoid providing inaccurate information. Contact us at support@genesunveiled.com
-
Why are reports missing?Sometimes, DNA files may be missing certain SNPs or results. In these cases, we hide or remove specific reports to avoid confusion. We cannot always guarantee that all reports will be available at the same time. However, we are continually improving our platform, and you can expect missing results to appear in the future.
-
Is my genetic data safe?Yes. Your raw DNA file is currently never actually uploaded or stored. All processing happens locally in your browser or device. Your personal data (e.g. email, billing) is encrypted and stored securely. If this changes in the future you will be informed, and would have to upload the DNA again.
-
Do you ever sell or share my data?Never. We don’t sell, rent, or trade any user data. We only share anonymized usage statistics to improve the product (e.g., report popularity), and only with your consent.
-
What regulations do you comply with?We comply with: GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation - EU) CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act - USA) Other applicable privacy laws
